person on the phone:  are there any advisors in today?

well...every professor at EMU does check in with me on a daily basis.  and we have lots of good ones to choose from.  may i recommend roman miller?  or maybe jerry holsopple?  lori leaman, perhaps?  obviously it doesn't really matter what your major is...an advisor is an advisor, right?

(erin bailey, this one was all for you ;))

i know, i know...i've had a xanga dry spell recently.  things are apparently more boring, less amusing, or a combination of the two during the summer in the registrar's office.  however, today i got this email from a former student who's living in germany.  he sends this email, all friendly and humorous, and then drops the bomb that he wants like 73 transcripts.  what?!  who even needs that many transcripts ever?!  after making some shady allusions to attempting to deceive the german government with fake transcripts, he tops it all of by telling me to send the bill to his mom.  and no, that's not even really the top.  on top of THAT, he rubs in the fact that he hopes i'm NOT at work since it's summer, and i should be on VACATION.  i think he actually did it twice.  thanks, like i don't think that all day, every day, while sitting at my desk with no windows.

this guy really took the cake.  usually i try to be careful to conceal the identity of those that i mock, but i just can't let this guy get away with it.  you know what, PHIL MINNICH?  hopefully this entry was sufficient to fulfill that lifelong dream of yours.  a dream that i was just informed of today.  you have officially been mocked in katie's xanga.  now you're right up there with the person who wants their transcript sent to HACC (harrisonburg area community college, which is so weird 'cause it's like, in lancaster).

person on the phone: i faxed in my transcript request on monday and i was wondering how you want me to go about paying for that...because you can't fax a check for $6.

really?

you may have noticed that i haven't updated in quite awhile.  well, it's because i've been spending all of my time on THIS.

okay, so maybe it was more like 10 minutes of my time just now.  but it's yet another fun and entertaining google feature.
